Iain's blisters thingys, big fat breakfast, beach with chilenos, hostel virginity broken! First valentines, boat trip fishes, monkeys, dead fish and turtles, islands.... Pasta y canned sausage romantic dinner!
Llegamos temprano a Parati el miércoles después de carnaval, todo estaba muerto y nosotros buscabamos un lugar donde desayunar, decidimos aventurarnos con un desayuno brasileño completo y con una famosa porción de açai, suficiente comida para más de dos personas.
After the craziness of Rio it was great to come to this pretty little colonial town on the banks of a river running into the sea. It was both our first ever hostel experience and luckily it was a really good one with some really cool people. it was also a relief to be able to soak my bite covered feet in the ocean!
Parati es un bonito pueblo colonial con una bonita bahía en el estado de Rio de Janeiro. Tuvimos un paseo en bote conociendo las islas, flora y fauna de la costa, snorkeleamos y vimos pecesillos y tortugas, en una de las islas vimos changuitos y estrellas de mar. Feliz día de San Valentin.
A brilliant day on a boat trip visiting little islands and secluded beaches. We saw loads of fishes and turtles up close snorkeling, then monkeys and big blizzards on the islands.

15-16/02/13 Ubatuba
En nuestro camino a Sao Paulo decidimos parar en Ubatuba, bonitas playas para refrescarse y comida barata. Pedimos un platillo para dos y nos trajeron comida para una familia entera, comimos todo y después pagamos las consecuencias (auch pansita).
A small town on the coast on the way to Sao Paulo, not much to do here apart from see the beaches and enjoy a beer on the beach! We were offered a good deal on bike hire and soon found out it was because our bikes had flat tires and no brakes!

Visitamos la catedral, el mercado, la avenida paulista y lo mejor de la ciudad fue la comida, toda la carne que puedas comer por 40 reales.
Not the nicest city I've visited but a great all you can eat Brazilian BBQ helped make up for that!

18-19/02/13 Florianopolis & Curitiba
Florianapolis es una ciudad conocida por sus bonitas playas, Campeche es la playa la cual visitamos, verdaderamente espectacular, tranquila, sin grandes hoteles, definitivamente un lugar que les recomiendo visitar.
The beaches we visited in Florianopolis are beautiful and unspoilt and was a great remedy to Sao Paulo, we easily could have spent longer here doing nothing, but we couldn't wait to see the waterfalls!
Hicimos una pequeña parada en la ciudad de Curitiba para hacer el viaje a las cataratas un poco mas fácil, comienzo a sentir los kms viajados.
We split up the long bus ride by stopping in Curitiba and found most of the locals hanging out in the flower lined Rue due Flores.

20-22/02/13 Foz do Iguaçu / Puerto Iguazu
No creo tener palabras para describir las cataratas, en especial cuando estuvimos caminando frente la catarata llamada "garganta del diablo", te sientes pequeñito ante el poder de la naturaleza.
All I can say is "wow" (and did a lot!). Definitely one off the bucket list and would recommend seeing these amazing waterfalls to anyone! I'll let the pictures do the talking!
Argentina here we go.
