Hong Kong (17/02/14)
A city of lights, cultures, tastes and smells, Hong Kong is familiar and different at the same time. We walked the streets of HK island and found great places to sample the fantastic food!
Man Mo Temple
Market
Dumplings & noodle soup
Mid Level Escalators
Hong Kong island is very steep and there is a lot of people and cars packed into a small space but the 900m long series of escalators certainly makes getting around a lot easier.
Lin Heung Tea House
This old school Dim Sum restaurant was completely packed with locals having their breakfast on a Saturday morning. Bamboo baskets full of steaming goodies were wheeled out of the kitchen and we joined the chaos and dug in. We weren't always sure what we were eating, but it was very tasty.
Kau Kee Restaurant, the best beef noodle in HK, it was worth the wait to sample them and gave us time to digest the Dim Sum breakfast! Feeling slightly proud after the waiter complimented our chop-sticks skills!
Last bubble tea, a favorite of ours since Taiwan
The peak
At the top of a very steep rail line there are some brilliant views.
Symphony of lights
Every night HK island transforms into a giant music and light show. Very camp, very impressive and entertaining. We took a ferry across to Kowloon to get the full experience.

The last packing
Our last dinner of course it had to be steamed soup Dumplings with my old school friend and HK host, cheers Jos
Goodbye Hong Kong
The scratch is over... for now!
